How to Easily Design your New Bedroom Layout

It is no secret that houses are now being built smaller and smaller each day and it can be hard to not only have enough storage space but also enough space to actually move around. Each day our dedicated sales team help customers to carefully plan their bedrooms in order to fully maximise space and storage. We do this in not only our fitted bedrooms but also our most popular ready assembled bedroom ranges.

     Below we have put together a guide on how we help create storage, luxury and design whilst also keeping your bedroom stylish and perfect just for you.

Step 1:

Measure the bedroom you wish to design. There are lots of different factors to take into consideration however below are the key measurements to take (shown with the arrows for this particular room shape). We recommend to grab paper and a pen and do a quick sketch of your room shape. Making sure to mark out where any doors, alcoves, windows or obstructing factors may be in the room. Keep in mind our website shows measurements in CM’s;

Step 2:

Browse our website to find the range perfect for you. Think about colour, design and how you imagine the overall finished product. 80% of our ranges are available in a variety of colours with some available in 250+ colour variations. You can find all our ready assembled by clicking here > Bedroom Furniture Ranges.

     Also take into consideration your bedframe as they can take a large space in a room. If you are sticking with your existing frame, then you can even drawer on your sketch if you know the position. This is useful when ensuring enough room to open any doors or drawers!

Step 3:

Once you have found 1 or even 2/3 ranges you like the next step is to carefully select your desired items. Each range has a number of products available, some more than others and it is important, especially if your bedroom isn’t the biggest that measurements are accurate. For example;

Step 4:

Next make a note of all your measurements for your desired products and place them in the space on your drawing you ideally would like them to fit. Hopefully everything works out as planned however if not, usually with some slight adjustments you can have the room you desire. For example;

Alternatively, if all of the above seems to complicated for you or you would prefer some help and guidance just send our team a quick email or give them a call with your measurements to hand and they will do the rest.
